Now through Saturday, July 27th, artists are participating in the Door County Plein Air Festival, sponsored by the Peninsula School of Art in Wisconsin. The festival features 35 invited plein air masters and takes place among the diverse natural beauty and quaint harbor towns of the Door Peninsula.
Clouds didn’t stop the Sunset Paint-Out: “Yes, it rained most of the day, but that’s all part of being a plein air painter,” said artist Mark Vander Vinne, from Indiana
The festival includes daily artist demonstrations, gallery tours with artists painting on site, and fresh paintings for sale. The online exhibition and sale is open through August 10, 2024.
